Initial situation

An app with potential that had not yet been tapped

Hagel already had a shopping app in use. However, the brand, the product range, and the customer base had long since moved past the technical foundation: the app no longer met expectations, and the ratings in the App Store clearly showed this.

Our solution

Rethought, built from the ground up

Instead of patching the existing app, we started fresh together with Hagel. Initially, the concept was developed in several workshops, followed by the complete redevelopment in Flutter.

Conception in joint workshops

Before a single line of code was written, we worked with the Hagel team to define the requirements, user needs, and priorities. The concept was the foundation for every subsequent decision and the reason why the timeline was met.

New development in Flutter

The app was developed from scratch in Flutter, with a single codebase for iOS and Android. The result: a consistent user experience on both platforms and significantly faster future development.

Flexible architecture for a complex store

30,000 products, many special regulations, constant assortment movement: we have built an architecture that supports this complexity without customers feeling it. New requirements can be integrated without touching the foundation.

AI Hair Simulator

In addition to the product catalog, the app offers features that go beyond classic mobile shopping. With the AI hair simulator, customers can try out looks directly before they buy — providing consultation that is otherwise only available in a salon.

Launch within the planned timeline

Despite the complexity of the project, the app went live on the agreed date. Clear prioritization from the workshops and the flexible architecture made this possible.
